FriendBot Appears To Be Offline. Have I Been Blocked?

The most likely reason FriendBot is offline is that either he is under Maintenance, or his Connection to AIM/ICQ has been reset. Please wait for us to restart his connection.

FriendBot is not replying to my questions. Is he broken?

FriendBot may be under maintenance. Check the homepage. He may just be very busy, and so just wait a short while. If the problem persists, contact us. 

FriendBot does not reply to some slang words. Why?

FriendBot's slang vocabulary is limited. Try to speak in Good English.

Does FriendBot support Foreign Languages?

English is FriendBot's main language. However, he does support some Spanish and French.

Will My Conversations With FriendBot Be Recorded?

Most Conversations with FriendBot are recorded, for Bug Fixing and quality assurance purposes. We will never use this data to compromise you or your privacy. We do not share this data, and all information is erased from the system at the end of each monthly period. We do keep our own encrypted, in a security protected, archive. This archive cannot be accessed through the internet, and the archive is not available to the public. 

Is FriendBot Secure?

FriendBot is fairly secure. However, because data travels through AIM, so this can never be guaranteed. We recommend never telling FriendBot your surname, or address.

How Do I Use Web Chat?

Simply visit the Internet Chat page, and wait for it to load.

I can not see the Internet Chat Box?

You need Flash in order to view the Chat Box. Click Here to download it for free.

Can I Talk To FriendBot on MSN Messenger?

Unfortunately, this is not currently possible, however, we are currently developing ways to allow this.

Why is the weather service limited to the US?

Unfortunately, the Weather lookup feature is currently limited to the US. This is because FriendBot uses a third-party to detect the weather, and this service only covers the United States.

I Left A Message In The FriendBot Guest Book, But It Has Gone. Why?

Possibly,  we deemed the message inappropriate, and deleted it. FriendBot may have erased it however. Occasionally, data in the Guest Book file gets erased by mistake, because of a small system bug, that we are trying to fix. Try posting the message again.

When I Leave A Message In The Guest Book, Will People Be Able To Tell Who Said It?

All messages will be attached to the time and date that it was left, and also the name of the user that said it. (Your name being the one you gave to FriendBot, if any.  This is not your AIM ID).

FriendBot is always going off ICQ, why?

ICQ support is very new. We cannot guarantee that it will always be available.

FriendBot will not reply to any of my messages, why?

You have probably been blocked. There are several reasons why this may occur:

1. You Warned FriendBot. Users that warn FriendBot are automatically blocked from talking to him again.

2. FriendBot Operates an Anti-Abuse Program. If you warn any AIM Chatterbot in this program, you are blocked from chatting to any of these bots, including FriendBot.

3. You have miss-used the system, or support channels.

4. You have been blocked by accident.

I have been blocked. What can I do?

Contact us, and we will investigate. If we determine that you have been blocked accidentally, than we will unblock you free of charge.

If you miss-used the system, or warned FriendBot, we will charge you a fee of £1/$2/1.5 Euro for unblocking.

If you warned another AIM Bot that is part of the Anti-Abuse program, regretfully, we are unable to unblock you.

I can't get FriendBot's Keywords To Work Properly-Why?

The Keywords Feature is still fairly new, and we do experience problems with it. Give it a couple of days, and if you still have problems, contact support.

Do you have a Guest Book?

Yes, we have a Comment's Box. Please feel free to leave a comment, and read others.
